Should I give more example beyond Windows Media Player? It is a big offender and is part of a standard Windows install.nicuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11787116898361050437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5797212.post-1133899423247761832005-12-06T22:03:00.000+02:002005-12-06T22:03:00.000+02:00Well this prooves that Open source software has st...Well this prooves that Open source software has still some work to do to become popular among the majority of "usual" (not to say dumb) users. I saw a lot of times people being confused when they were asked to work under Open Source software (OOo, Gimp, Abiword etc... under Linux), even if these programs had all the abilities and functions required for the (usually simple) job. Users just don't get used to new interfaces, new look & feels, other than "standard" function names, etc... In a few words: usability has to be improved, only then people will get rid of MS or Mac stuff.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5797212.post-1133418281969515722005-12-01T08:24:00.000+02:002005-12-01T08:24:00.000+02:00maybe they wanted to proove that you can make a PD...maybe they wanted to proove that you can make a PDF from a .doc file on Linux (using wine or something...) ;)Claudiuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03866367039491157909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5797212.post-1133363173214534142005-11-30T17:06:00.000+02:002005-11-30T17:06:00.000+02:00Ovidiu, thanks for the correction and damn with th...Ovidiu, thanks for the correction and damn with those acronyms.nicuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11787116898361050437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5797212.post-1133360967455744482005-11-30T16:29:00.000+02:002005-11-30T16:29:00.000+02:00That's OSDL.
