The explanation is obvious: everybody is waiting for 10.10, no more use for 10.04 CDs :D
The explanation was rather that they were left behind at FrOSCamp and since I didn't have any use for them I threw them away. I've also seen openSUSE and Fedora media in similar situations in case it matters ;)

Noone trashes a fedora cd. Wait a minute.. Is anyone even using it? :P
