In my opinion, the Parsix theme is ugly, a bad combination of light blue wallpaper, dark gray windows, light blue window title bars and glowing orange/brown icons. Should I wonder when it is acclaimed on the Art list by our favorite two trolls?

I don't know, I'd say that your right about the brown and orange but aside from that it does look good to me. But that said, I could see alot of reworking on the icons... that icon theme is just BAD, brown and orange aside.
Agreed, awful to the point of actual eye pain.
It's not ugly! People who prefer a dark background (even in gedit) should like it...
